Christmas Tree Preserver

1 gallon hot water
2 tbsp. chlorine bleach
1/2 c. Karo syrup
4 iron tablets

Select fresh tree with springy branches. Cut off tree stump at least an inch above the original cut. Heat water and add remaining ingredients. Replenish mixture as needed until tree is taken down. Acts as fertilizer, stops bacterial action, replaces moisture and gives color.
