Italian Christmas Frappe 6 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
6 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1/8 lb. butter
1/4 c. white wine or whiskey (opt.)
Melt butter in milk and let cool. Mix remaining ingredients and add cooled butter/milk mixture. Knead a few minutes. Add more flour if needed. Dough should be soft. Roll very thin; cut in strips 1/2" to 1 " wide and fry in hot oil, about 375 degrees. Store in brown paper bag. When cool, put on a dish and drizzle honey over the frappe.
